Today we stopped by Bings Bakery on Main Street. Bings was founded in 1946 by Russell and Selina Bing and has been serving the Newark community since that time. In 2005, Tom and Carla Guzzi became owners of Bings. Tom was a baker at Bings for the 10 years leading up to his ownership. Bings has a variety of pastries and cakes available, here is the list of products available. This was a great time for a visit to Bings, because they are donating ALL proceeds from cupcake purchases to “cupcakes for a cause” which is for cancer care for kids. Cancer care for kids provides services for kids coping with cancer, whether they or a family member is affected by this disease. Cupcakes for a cause will be from Sept. 20th- Sept. 25th. Please stop by and support Bings and this great charity. Bings has delicious pastries available, so if you are in the mood for more than that donut, stop by Bings and enjoy what a great local bakery has to offer. Bings is a great part of Newark’s past and present and hopefully will be a part of Newark’s future as well.
