Newark Delaware’s Premiere Culinary Celebration!Newark Delaware Restaurant Week 2013

Nineteen Newark Restaurants offer special pricing and samplings off their menu’s.  This event is sure to please anyone with choices as diverse as Ali Baba to the new kid on the block Taverna.  Each restaurant features different menu’s and specials so be sure to visit Downtown Newark’s website to get the specifics.  I have enjoyed sampling some of the specials afforded in previous years and look forward to getting to try some new ones this year.  Every year there’s a great time at Newark Delaware Restaurant Week.

It’s Not Just the Food

Although that’s a great reason to sample some of the great restaurants Newark DE has to offer, there is also the great ambience afforded by some of these restaurants.  You can enjoy all the history of Deer Park Tavern or the creative, casual decor of the popular Home Grown Restaurant.  I would definitely encourage you to try as many as possible.  One of them may just become your new favorite restaurant!

Insider Tips

Check out payment methods beforehand.  Most (if not all) of the establishments take credit cards, but it’s best to be prepared.

You’ll probably have to pay to park.  Best bet is to park at one of the cities parking lots.  Make sure you ask if the restaurant will validate, some do!

Make sure to leave enough time to stop by one of Newark’s great coffee houses afterwards!

When you get done, stop back here and let us know how you enjoyed it!
