About Appoquinimink School District
More than 12,000 students in grades K-12 attend the Appoquinimink School District in southern New Castle County, Delaware.
The district serves the Middletown, Odessa, Townsend areas principally but covers some homes in Bear and even Newark.
One of Delaware’s fastest growing school systems, Appoquinimink school district has opened twelve new schools, finished additions at seven other buildings, and completed an aggressive schedule of renovations designed to support 21st century learning since 2000.
Appoquinimink High School was opened in 2008.
In fall 2021, Appoquinimink school district will open two new facilities, the Brick Mill Preschool Center and Cantwell’s Bridge Middle School, and unveil the results of an exciting expansion at Silver Lake Elementary School.
The renovation of the middle school,Everett Meredith Middle School, will result in a state-of-the-art facility when it opens next fall.
