Marshallton Delaware is an unincorporated community in the Mill Creek Hundred in New Castle County Delaware. It was founded in 1836 and is named for John Marshall the local mill owner at the time.
Originally known as Hersey bridge, named after the mills original owner Solomon Hersey, Marshallton is a beautiful and historic place.
The late Baseball great and Hall of Fame player Judy Johnson lived in Marshallton Delaware for 55 years.
The entertainment and employment opportunities of a major metropolitan area are roughly an hour away in either Philadelphia or Baltimore via I-95. State Parks, county parks and even smaller community parks are within walking or biking distance of virtually every residence.
