The University of Delaware will be holding Ag Day on Saturday April 27, 2019. Ag Day is held annually by the U of D and is a community event with an approximate attendance of 3000 people. There are many educational exhibits and tours, as well as entertainment and food vendors. Some of the activities include children’s games, hayrides, plant slaes, lectures, live music and a livestock display with UD farm animals. The plant sale is held starting at 9:30, or half an hour before Ag day officially starts at 10 am.
Ag day is a family event that offers something for all ages. Ag day parking and admission are free, the only charges are food, some activities and of course sales. With lots of great food, you will want to bring some money to sample some of what is available!
Many of the exhibits are free and the musical entertainment is also free. Parking is available at the fieldhouse and also in the former Chrysler site in the Dart/Septa area. Check out University of Delaware Homes for sale here.

The event starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday April 29th and runs until 4 p.m. and is held rain or shine. The event is held at Townsend hall at 531 S.College Ave in Newark Delaware, directly across from the former Chrysler plant. Ag Day is another example of why Newark Delaware is such a great place to live. Both the City of Newark and the University of Delaware have a lot of great events throughout the year. Ag Day is a great way to celebrate Spring finally being here after a long winter. If you come to Newark for Ag Day, be prepared to have some fun!
